Es könnte sich auch bei PDF-Dokumenten um Phishing (Bild / Text mit Link auf eine betrügerische Seite, siehe z. B. die Warnungen „Re: Re: Contract SC-65434 payment von Cherry ([email protected])“ oder „Apple Online Services Team von mail.ssl-dev-user-common-recovery-jsp89-maildaemon@runsblack39.com“) handeln. PDF-Dokumente können außerdem auch betrügerische Software nachladen (siehe z. B. die Warnung „Invoice(75-3852) von DEMARCUS REDHEAD ([email protected])“, derzeit wird mit dieser Masche die Jaff Ransomware verteilt)! Öffnen Sie daher keine unerwarteten PDF-Anhänge!

Die E-Mail behauptet, Sie hätten in einer Verlosung einen Betrag von 845.000 Britischen Pfund gewonnen. Die E-Mail ist gefälscht! Das stimmt alles nicht!

Senden Sie keine E-Mail zurück! Die zurückgesendeten persönliche Daten (evtl. wird auch noch der Ausweis verlangt) könnten später für Identitätsmissbrauch verwendet werden und Ihnen damit Schaden zufügen.

Außerdem wird der Absender immer wieder Geld von Ihnen verlangen (daher der Name „Vorschussbetrug“). Als Begründung werden z. B. Versicherungen, Bestechung, Zölle und vieles mehr angegeben. Der Absender wird sich immer wieder etwas neues einfallen lassen, damit Sie ihm Geld überweisen. Am Ende werden Sie nichts bekommen, d. h. alle von Ihnen übermittelten Gelder sind verloren. Reagieren Sie daher nicht auf die E-Mail und senden Sie kein Geld!
