Am Samstag, den 22. Juli 2017 wurde durch unbekannte Dritte die folgende E-Mail in englischer Sprache versendet. Achtung: Die E-Mail stammt nicht von PayPal! Klicken Sie deswegen nicht auf den Link und geben Sie keine Daten ein!

Sowohl in der E-Mail wie auch in der verlinkten Internetseite ist das Wort „PayPal“ mit einem großen „i“ (Ida) statt einem kleinen „L“ (Ludwig) geschrieben. Aufgrund der Ähnlichkeit beider Buchstaben fällt das kaum auf.

PayPal hat eine Informationsseite zu Phishing. Leiten Sie Phishing-Mails mit PayPal-Bezug an [email protected] weiter!

Die verlinkte Adresse radio.lpc.rmutl.ac.th/live1/pepi leitet weiter auf www.paypai.com-signin.account.43907329678916.duhdeksengbanterlahresule.cityuniversity.edu.bd/signin/mc86/websrc?country.x=DE. Auch hier ist in der Subdomain das „paypal“ als „paypai“ geschrieben. Keine der Adressen gehört zu PayPal! Klicken Sie deswegen nicht auf den Link und geben Sie keine Daten ein!

Unter der Adresse wird ein gefälschtes Login-Formular eingeblendet, welches zur Eingabe der Zugangsdaten auffordert. Geben Sie keine Daten ein! Es handelt sich um eine betrügerische Seite! Alle Eingaben werden an unbekannte Dritte übermittelt und können daher missbraucht werden!
