Vorschussbetrug/Scam: Atten: Max Mustermann, von Barr David Douglas ([email protected])

Am Samstag, den 12. August 2017 wurde durch unbekannte Dritte die folgende E-Mail in englischer Sprache versendet:

I am Barrister David Douglas, the attorney at law to Late Mr. Peter Mustermann, a national of your country , who used to work as the Director of (SONACOP) Oil Company in Benin Republic West Africa Here in after shall be Referred to as my client. On the 2nd of December 2015, may client, His wife and their three Children were involved in a plane crash. All occupants of the plane Unfortunately lost their lives.

After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to track His last name over the Internet, to locate any member of his Family hence I contacted you. I have contacted you to assist in Repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank here.

With the ECOBANK BENIN where the Deceased had an account valued at about $18.5 million dollars. The Bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated.

Since I have been unsuccessful in Locating the relatives for over 6 years now I seek your consent To present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you have The same last name so that the proceeds of this account valued at $18.5 million dollars can be paid to you and then you and me can Share the money.60% to me and 40% to you I will procure all Necessary legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make.All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us seeing this Deal through.

I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.

Achtung: Es handelt sich um eine gefälschte E-Mail! Reagieren Sie nicht auf die E-Mail! Senden Sie keine Informationen zurück! Es handelt sich um die Betrugsmasche „Vorschussbetrug“ (Scam)!

Sowohl im Betreff wie auch in der Anrede ist Ihr Name enthalten. Im ersten Absatz wird eine verstorbene Person mit dem gleichen Nachnamen genannt, deren Vorname immer als „Peter“ angegeben ist. Angeblich ist diese Person bei einem Flugzeugabsturz ums Leben gekommen und der Absender würde schon seit Jahren nach Erben suchen. Das angebliche Vermögen des angeblich Verstorbenen wird mit 18,5 Millionen Dollar angegeben. Der Absender will das Geld angeblich mit Ihnen teilen (60 % er, 40 % Sie) und Sie dazu als angeblichen Erben ausgeben.

Das stimmt aber alles nicht! Der unbekannte Absender immer wieder Geld von Ihnen verlangen (daher der Name „Vorschussbetrug“). Als Begründung werden z. B. Versicherungen, Bestechung, Zölle und vieles mehr angegeben. Der Absender wird sich immer wieder etwas neues einfallen lassen, damit Sie ihm Geld überweisen. Am Ende werden Sie nichts bekommen, d. h. alle von Ihnen übermittelten Gelder sind verloren. Reagieren Sie daher nicht auf die E-Mail und senden Sie kein Geld!
